How to Pass the NMLS Exam on Your First Try: A Study Plan

A four-week plan after PE

Rules that win points
- Weight your time by the outline: origination 27%, federal law 24%, general knowledge 20%, ethics 18%, UST 11%.
- Count days on paper. For TRID and rescission, write the dates and mark Sundays and holidays.
- Name the base in every calculation: loan amount for points, lesser of price or value for purchase LTV, gross income for DTI.
- For ethics, pick the lawful and honest action, even when it costs the MLO business.
- Answer every question. There is no penalty for guessing.
